Gyoha Jungang Park Visit Overview
In “Gyoha Central Park” in Paju, Gyeonggi-do, there is the Mulsori Garden and the Korean Garden. On September 4, 2025, I only visited the Korean Garden, and on November 12, I also visited the Mulsori Garden.
I didn’t expect there to be a Reeve’s turtle.

Mulsoriewon (Water Garden)
Mulsoriewon consists of the Water Theater, the Cascade, and the Reflecting Pool. There was no water in the Water Theater. I wonder if it’s filled during the summer.
I was curious about the Reeve’s turtle, so I looked over at the spot where I had seen it last time — but it wasn’t there. Where did it go? Did someone capture it? Did it die? It’s not really important. If it’s gone, that’s that. Still, I’ll probably look for it again the next time I visit.

Korean Garden
In front of Gyoha Gate, there is the Paju Han Mogum Shelter. It’s not a building—just an outdoor refrigerator where visitors can take a bottle of water. I opened the door to check, but there was no water inside.
The flower wall blocks the view of Gyoha Pond from Gyoha Gate. Behind the flower wall is Gyoha Pond, and I saw a Reeve’s turtle briefly coming up for air. It was a Reeve’s turtle, right? I’m not sure how it survives during the winter.

Location of Gyoha Central Park
The road-name address of Gyoha Central Park is 256 Supsoknoeul-ro, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. There is a parking lot, but I’ve never used it.
