Overview of My First Visit to Daewondang in Chuncheon
On December 28, 2025, after eating dakgalbi at Chuncheon Tongnamujip Dakgalbi Main Branch, I was planning to go to Soul Roastery. However, instead of going to Soul Roastery that day, I went to Daewondang. As far as I remember, it was my first visit. Is it the largest bakery in Chuncheon? I was satisfied.

Daewondang, the Largest Bakery in Chuncheon
Daewondang is a bakery that started in 1968. I do not know much about its detailed history. Since it is an old bakery, people who live in Chuncheon or used to live there probably know it well. Later, I should ask someone I know who has lived in Chuncheon.

I ordered a few breads and a café latte for takeout. The total came to 29,200 KRW. I like that the bread is cheaper than at large brand bakeries. I’ll definitely visit again.

Free Parking at the Daewondang Building
There is a parking lot on the basement level 1 of the Daewondang building. The entrance and exit lanes are only one lane each, so you need to be careful when going up or coming down. Since parking is free, no payment or validation is required.

It doesn’t seem like most cars are parked for long periods. That’s probably why many people who park here are picking up takeout.
The street address is 191 Toegye-ro, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do, South Korea.
