Imjingang Broom Cypress Garden

Visited on October 7, 2025

As far as I remember, this was my third visit to the Imjingang Broom Cypress Garden.

There are two separate parking areas, and staff members help guide the parking. If the sky had been clear, I think parking spaces might have run out. Since it was raining, I entered with an honesty umbrella that visitors can borrow for free. There’s no admission fee.

The broom cypress hadn’t turned red yet—most of it was still green, which was a bit disappointing. But it was still nice to see the vast field covered with broom cypress.

Garden Location and Parking

The road-name address of Imjingang Broom Cypress Garden is 422, Samgot-ri, Jung-myeon, Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi-do.

As mentioned earlier, parking is available and free of charge.

Why does Google Maps say Park? I don’t know.

And I translated Korean Daepsari into Broom Cypress. Is this correct?

If you plan to visit, don’t go early like I did. But going late isn’t an option either.
The peak is every year from October. The exact start date can vary, depending on the weather and temperature.

Visiting by public transportation will be difficult. Use a car.

Cafe Seugeureu

I stopped by this café because I was thirsty after leaving the garden. It’s within 1 kilometer of the Imjingang Broom Cypress Garden.

I ordered a Yulmu Einspänner and an Omong Ade. When I asked what “Omong” was, they told me it’s a mix of orange and grapefruit.

The Yulmu Einspänner has a pleasantly nutty flavor.

The Omong Ade contains real fruit pieces, which made it very satisfying. It felt worth every won. Could there be an ade more satisfying than this? I’ll definitely revisit.
