On October 30, 2025, perhaps because it was a weekday afternoon, there were no available parking spaces at Hallyu World 4 Public Parking Lot. Fortunately, I was able to park at Lotte Department Store instead. With the benefits of my Lotte Card, parking was free.
Goyang Ilsan Lake Park is within walking distance from Lotte Department Store. On the way, you can also see Homeplus Ilsan Branch.
Homeplus Ilsan is having a clearance sale. Those who have lived in Ilsan for a long time will remember that this used to be a Carrefour. Now that Homeplus Ilsan is closing, it’s unclear what will take its place.
Visit Review of “Hosuya, Nolja”
On October 12, 2025, I visited on the final day of “Hosuya, Nolja.”
Next to the Goyang Flower Exhibition Hall, there’s a stage and some tents selling food—these aren’t food trucks. Normally, this is just a wide open space, so it was nice to see it being used like this. However, it felt a bit uncomfortable, as if only friends of the performers or people who bought food were supposed to sit there. No one would actually stop you from sitting, but I hope they try to make it feel more welcoming and approachable.
In front of the Goyang Flower Exhibition Hall, there’s also a small radio broadcast stage. It seems to be a live public broadcast by OBS Radio. I thought this was a nice touch, although I’m not very familiar with OBS Radio personally.
At Hanul Square, you can see a full moon sculpture, which is lovely. I’m not sure how long it will stay there, but it’s a piece I really like.
2025 Goyang Autumn Flower Festival Visit Review
I initially tried to park at Ilsan Lake Park’s 2nd Parking Lot, but there was a line of cars at the entrance. So I parked at Hallyu World 4th Public Parking Lot instead. Parking there is free, but spaces are limited. Luckily, two spots were available, and I managed to grab one.
From Hallyu World 4th Public Parking Lot, I walked toward the Cactus Exhibition Hall. This area marks the start of Ilsan Lake Park. I passed Dalmaji Island, then walked through Ilsan Culture Plaza and finally reached the Main Plaza.
At Ilsan Culture Plaza, the 2025 Goyang National Makgeolli Festival was taking place. Many people were sitting on mats with bottles of makgeolli and other drinks. If I were a fan of alcohol, I probably would have bought two or three bottles.
At the Main Plaza, you can see the 2025 Goyang Autumn Flower Festival for free. The festival runs from September 19 to 30. After enjoying the flowers, I crossed Aesu Bridge and returned to Hallyu World 4th Public Parking Lot.
The 2025 Goyang Lake Art Festival is scheduled from September 26 to 28, overlapping with the Autumn Flower Festival. That means there will likely be even more things to see at Ilsan Lake Park during that period.
